Phantom Bannerfish

I am looking into something to control aptasia, that won't difficult to feed, but will also leave my corals alone.

What you are looking for is on the shelf, not in a tank. Pretty much everything that eats aptasia can eat corals (considering that aptasia = anemone). I got 3 peppermints and they started eating my fungia/acan. All fish that eat aptasia also eat LPS or other corals. I got shrimp because after they ate my aptasia, I threw them in the sump.

If I were you, I would get the fish, but be prepared to sell it if I needed to.

If you want to get rid of aptasia get a matted filefish, easier to keep than copperband and smaller.

This is one I looked at too, but seems like a roll of the dice...done have had good luck with them with aptasia, others not so much. Which actually, if prob true with any fish......:spin2:

+1, if you haven't yet tried the chemical methods you should at least give em a shot. Joe's Juice I think is just calcium and hydrogen peroxide. I killed all the ones on my rocks, about 20, in ten minutes or so with it. Only a couple came back, and they were killed with a second try. They eat it, so if they retract when you try and inject it into them then you can just squirt it into the hole they go into.

I think I might give Joe's Juice a try....guess if the ones I can't see proliferate, I could just keep blasting them as they appear.....thanks!
