Our cousin was able to give us a break at the island of bohol and these are the photos I would like to share with you guys, this is another island of bohol which is two hours from the island of Cebu. Taylor t, I know you have been waiting for these photos, it is finally here and would like to show everybody how these gigs live in the wild. Every afternoon I walk through the grassy sandbed and look at these beautiful creatures and their habitat, all I know, they must feed on mysis in the wild due to many living organisms swimming through the waters as I walk through it.

I stubbed my toe on one of these long spine urchins and the only treatment is urea which dispels the splinter out of your skin, it was painful, my fault of trying to snorkel when the sea was still low tide and the current brought me over the long spine urchin colony.

yes sir! Imagine the color, we all know how we capture our own tanks! Thanks for those pics Pete! I've been waiting!!!! :) Real beauties!

You pee'd on yourself?!

Ouch! Any traces of it left on your toe still? Hope you're well by know!

That would have been awesome! Too bad you weren't able to snag some of those plants to take home! I'm sure they'd ship better than a gig! Thanks for sharing those Pete!

I know everyday I would try to look for the nems in same spot but I was a little off, should have tagged them lol, my pleasure guys, I cannot wait to post the video of school of baby puffers swim past me while I was swimming in cebu, took a video of them. One of these days Dave will show you where I really came from and natural beauty of our country. No I had to have Fairly pee on me he he!!

Thanks Yuri, there were even larger gigs and magnifica on reef rocks as I ventured out half a mile away, amazing how nems can store water to protect themselves from low tides for a few hours during afternoons. I was excited to see the gigs since I love gigs myself and thought to myself "what If?" I had a home there and a tank and how I could just change water everyday and keep smaller nems, have my own gig farm but they are difficult to harvest as they are burrowed on crevices of rocks. I have even seen gigs that are straited like a haddoni, just beautiful.

Yes we went to Coron palawan also and the sanctuary they had was really nice, my camera decided to go kaput so couldnt take photos, it was a large reef and saw angels and triggers. When they are large they tend to observe who you are and what you are all about, they tend to follow you all the time.

It is so amazing that you can see so many gigs that close in the wild. The purple gig is so nice . I went to Malaysia before, but haven't seen any anemones, only a lot of nice fishes . Maybe next time I should visit Philippine . Is it safe there?

Yes Kaman, choice of places would be Coron, palawan, cebu and this island Bohol, this island is called pamilakan island and its an hour from tagbilaran bohol. It is only 4 hours from Hong Kong via cathay pacific then use cebu pacific to palawan and bohol acessible via ferry which takes 2 hours.

2 hours from cebu. You can make cebu your hub since Manila can be a challenge to go to these islands.
