I got it set up this weekend. Got the plumbing done yesterday, and I hate doing plumbing. I also got the what water I had in there and all the rock. I have water getting made up to top off the rest of the salt water tomorrow I hope. I will try to post pics in the next day or two. I will try take some of the coral back next week I hope.

Both of you can bite me.... but be gentle, i am sun burned....LOL I will get some pics posted here soon. I have to let the kids eat dinner and then get my yard and my parents yard done tonight before the rain starts tomorrow.

no pics. I went over and peaked in the window. No fish tank. Just meagan running around in a tank top.
No pics... whats up with that. I have a 500g tank in my basement too.

First off, the thing in the tank top is a fish, one of the most expensive and demanding of species. It is a tang of some type, I think they call it poo - tang .....LOL

I just put in all the salt water I had, now I have to get more salt, unless someone is doing a waterchange in the next day or so. I will have to go to coral reef and pick up some tropic marine I guess.

I will have to get some pics, with the rain tomorrow, it should be easier.

Full tank shot. I need to re-do it a little to get the rock a little taller I think.

These are the overflow boxes built by Chad. He did a great job on them, and they work great so far. The blend in really well to the back of the tank.

This is the return, nice in the center. I am toying a few different ideas on this though. I was thinking of plumbing it so the I had a return in each of the front corners OR a spray bar along the back OR a spray bar all the way around the tank.... Not sure and open to suggestions.

A little scum on the surface, was taken after the pumps had been on for about 10 minutes.

Nice new clean sump. I think I am going to take out the glass baffle for the fuge, and pass on the fuge all together. With only having a 20 Long for the sump, it cuts down on room to much I think. As of now I am thinking of doing a 7" filter sock so I have 2 inlets, taking out the fuge baffle so I have room for that and a skimmer. I would like to add another reactor and run them in line. Once aging, open to suggestions, so if you have one lets here it.......and be nice

Looking good.

I don't think I would run a spraybar for a return. I never realy seemed to get good flow from them in the past.

I would just add a second sock filter the same as the one you have for the second drain. The 7" filter is nice, but it takes up quite a bit of space. This may give you some room for a small fuge that way. Just T off of the return to supply the fuge if you need to.

Now we're talking. I have the same sump for my 75g Phil. I put a small fuge then one baffle, then my ASM G2 skimmer, then over-under-over baffles, then return pump. Thats going from left to right in sump. Yours looks good so far. Glad to see you have a tank again.

Well, I have decided that GOD does not want me to have a tank, and one more mishap and I am sure the wife will agree with him. LOL Everything was great last night after I posted the pics. I guess when I was putting in my 1/2" hose bib, I used to much of my HE MAN ability and cracked the T and didn't know it. I woke up this morning to a wet living room and a empty return section.......... I threw down some towels and waited at work for the phone call from the wife. Right on schedule i got the call. "*** happened now???!!!" is how I believe the call started...LOL

So now it is time to redo the sump, and I think the fuge is going to come out for this. This will give me more room for another sock, or a larger one, my reactor(s), and less bubbles and noise that I was getting last night from the system.

Just sent the wife to Lowes to get the fitting I need to fix the pump.... think she will get it right on the first try, or just for get to get it at all and not come home with a damn thing she left to get

now now Phil......she could come home with a new kitchen.....or worse. Just hope that all she comes with is the fitting...... :)

I think if Jeff had woken up to a wet living room floor the language would be somewhat more colorful.....oh yeah we have done that......hence the need to replace the laminate flooring in the living room.

She did come home with the right part. I am truly surprised. And yes Lorna, she came home with more, just like usual. The language was a lot more colorful, if any of you can believe that from my wife...LOL, but RC has certain rules on what I can post....

Getting ready to redo the fitting and then head off to bed. Keep an eye on the thread, if I have another leak, there will be some more equip up for sale....:)

Dont make her too mad at you. I would hate for two of us to be "the walking wounded".

It didnt burn up your return pump did it? I think you would be ok running both drains into one 7" filter sock.

I don't think the pump is damaged. We will see how it goes though. I am going to fix it up again tonight and see how it works.
