Phil's Purple Hornets

I didn't see this grow out thread forming. Lol.

I got some of these from phill I want to say at the Feb meeting? Maybe March I don't remember. But I started with 3p & had 9p about 2 weeks ago. I split 3p from that & put them in my dt where there is 4p now. Not sure what is in my frag tank. Probably 7 or 8.

Then I got home from the April meeting & realized one of the raffle items I won, was a 5p of purple hornets donated by Phill! Nice!

I actually won 3 times and couldn't tell what anything was. All 3 I picked, I already own. lol

Some will go back for the next raffle. Hornets I'll keep though.

My month count is 3 still. They fell off the plug I found them and reglued. So hopefully they will start to grow soon.

I had what you could see was a new polyp forming. Then I was using lyme paist to eradicate some pests. Nuked the bud and almost destroyed one of four polls I still have

These might grow as fast as the nuclear greens I think I'm up to about 15 not including the extras I got in the raffle. Hopefully they don't overtake my monti island.

That may have been an exaggeration, but they are pretty fast for sure. I can't wait to see how a nice big colony looks from a distance. That's one thing I noticed with zoas in general is that they all look much nicer close up.

These are a sad sad site now. They have been chopped to many times. I'm pretty sure almost the entire club has a frag of them. They are still doing good. They just need some grow time. I'm sure they are down less than 100 polyps
