Phishy Business in Columbus

I went there yesterday after the frag swap. That place is amazing. This store alone probably has several times as much coral as every store in the Pgh area combined. They have an incredible selection of all types of coral and very reasonable prices. All of their elegance corals were $89 and some of them were the size of a soccerball. I have seen pieces here in the south hills area the the size of a baseball for over $200. They also had a great selection of fish.

This place and Salty Critter (Cleveland) really make me jealous of our neighbors to the west. There isn't a store in our area that even remotely approaches what these two stores offer.

I wish the owners of the LFS here in the burgh would make a trip up to see these two stores. Their tanks were in pristine condition. I didn't see a sick or dead fish. These two places are worth the trip.

I agree. Salty Critter and Phishy Business are two top notch places that are definitely worth making a trip to visit.

I also agree we stopped in the day before the swap and that place was awsome!!Great selection of corals and fish.

I stopped by Phishy as well and thought the differences between it and SC were interesting. PBs tanks were all bare...no sand, no rocks, just fish. All the inverts were in their own tanks. Corals were on trays in their own trays. SC's tanks are all mixed up. 3-4 tanks have similiar corals in them, mostly on sand. Fish are moved around. Inverts are in each tank.

I'm not saying one way is better than another, just found it interesting that two shops who obviously care about their livestock present them in such a different way.

Thank you for coming and seeing our store. It was nice to see you all. Have a club road trip sometime over to our store and maybe I can give a club discount for that trip.

Thanks again for stopping by!

Maybe you can ask him to post them here too? I would love to see what he took.
