Photo Contest - GOT SKIRTS ???

Every sight has a photo contest, so why not have a contest that's a bit different. It's just an idea and maybe you can add yours to the list. So here goes. How about a contest which consist of macro shot focusing solely on the different types of skirts, straight, wavey, corkscrew, double layered, nobby etc.

OR

Maybe a contest with consist of a polyp/polyps in focus with an invert or fish in the frame?

OR


List your ideas below.

i saw you had posted something like this a week or so ago and i think skirts would be really cool as i i have some cool pics of skirts and how one zoas skirts looked like in higher flow as compared with the same one in alot lower flow

How about pictures of zoa's doing weird things. ( IE' eating their skirts, tyring to eat stuff they usually don't eat, Double skirts, reverse mushroom look etc.... )

some other things to think about lighting, maybe a couple classes for winners , long skirt , funky looking skirt, tight curly skirts, only because differnt current can give zoa differnt skirt styles.

This was the Skirt idea thread, not the contest thread. I was waiting to hear other ideas. If we can let this thread die, I'll start a new official thread on Easter Sunday. This gives everyone a chance to clean the glass in preparations for pictures.

Rules

1. Submit one picture.

2. Macro skirt pics only, no need to see the colony, lets focus on the skirts this time.

2. No actinic shots.

3. No over photoshopped pics.

4. Post a picture only, there's no need for text, or the thread will turn into a discussion and not a contest.

5. Please, no polyp names, or, the thread will turn into a discussion.

6. Shot as close as you can, details is what we want to see and unique skirts, curled, straight, double row, corkscrew, inverted, triple rows, etc

7. Contest starts on 3/24 and ends on 3/31


Flyyguy and dc_909's pictures are a perfect example of what to post or even closer. Taken from the right angle, you can see all the details of the skirts. This is not a rarest or prettiest polyp contest BTW.
