Here is a pic I got of an oil rig I saw while driving out to DIA to pic up my wife from the airport. Its pretty much out in the middle of an empty cornfield . Lots of light pollution and the moon was bright. I wanted to try the 14mm 2.8 I bought for astro in less than ideal conditions just to see what I would get. I took a whole series of this rig and was pretty happy with most of what I got but this was one of my favorites mostly because of the odd little starburst pattern I got from the moon. Shot at ISO:1600, 25 seconds at f2.8
Dont know what the hell this thing is. Some sort of bizarre alien grass hopper. Was visiting some friends that live in a remote area of Baja Mexico. It was night time and we were grilling some steaks and saw this thing sitting on a plumeria. I used a 100mm macro with ring flash.
Snapped of several pics before the thing tried to jump on my camera lens. Scared the ever living hell out of me. I almost threw my camera across the yard and my buddy just about fell out of his chair laughing.
This is one of my favorite photos. Not aquaria related, but a photo of my son when he was a couple weeks old (he was born prematurely, so his feet was tiny).
