Photo/video with LEDs

Every time I try to photograph my tank I can't get a decent shot of my tank I've tried using my iPhone as well as my cannon but it always just looks like a bunch of blue or kind of grainy. I see some great shots of tanks with LEDs so I know it's doable any help would be appreciated.

Turn off auto white balance and do it manually if you can

Shoot in raw format and adjust the white balance in Photoshop. It gives you much more control.

Also adjust your leds towards a whiter color. It helps a lot. I found that shooting in raw with a heavy magenta picture still didn't represent what my corals looked like. But shooting in raw + a whiter setting then editing got me as close as I could.

Also if your not handy with photoshop its really easy to use adobe lightroom. I also have the same problem with my LEDs and With lightroom its all done in 2 clicks. you can just get the free trial if you want.

Also, if your iPhone is running iOS8, try an app called Manual. It allows you to set custom white balance, exposure, ISO etc.
