Photosynthesis with Mitras Lightbar

Not only a high lumen-output is important for a LED illumination, even more important is the correct light spectrum to achieve an optimal photosynthesis.

A good indicator for the quality of the illumination is the oxygen production of the plants.

We just uploaded a video which demonstrates this in an impressive way:

This tank is equipped with Mitras Lightbar daylight.

Details about the Lightbar can be read here:

That's great!!!! You guys have great products and the videos will be very helpful in making the next purchase decision.

I'd even settle for some pics of the deep actinic over someone's tank.
The website lists just one UV led per bar, but at what length?
How many UV in the longest 60" length?
Is there any way to connect multiple bars together to make a single long bar, like 72"?

The longest bar is 63" (160cm) you can connect up to 4 bars off one power supply.

When ordering you work out how many bars you want, then the wattage of those bars, then select the correct power supply and then select the correct cabling.

I do not see anything in regards to recommended quantity for a given sized tank though, im sure GHL have tested for this and can advice depending on whether SPS or mixed reef etc and let you know how many you would need.

Thank you, just trying to decide which way to go to add a little actinic color pop to my MH/T5 setup. Mitras or a DIY build.
I need a long strip. Somewhere around 72" would be ideal.
The problem would be trying to figure out a way to suspend two smaller mitras units end to end to span the 72".

In this case a mitras bar is way too much for you, all you need is the simu stick

Do you think so?
From the little bit of info I was able to find on the sticks earlier today, it didn't seem like they would be powerful enough to make an impact when the mh and t5 were on. I think they are 1w samsung leds? And I see blue, but looking for more uv, and royal blue spectrums... 400-450 range. Not sure what I'd have with the simu sticks.
