Phu's white coral thread got me thinking...

how sick my wife is...there for awhile when I was having some SPS keeping difficulties (I was getting several larger wild colonies). She paid more attention to the tank and rejoiced when something bleached. Pottery Barn and their "interior decorators" have taken a liking to coral skeleton centerpieces. Yes, she has coral skeletons in the bathroom in these opaque blue hurricane vases and thinks it's "so cool." Better she doesn't know precisely how much that vase REALLY cost, eh? Hard coral graveyard right in the bathroom....freakin' joyous.

its chic if you dont know what it is, hahaha....

If its furry and you can pet it before its "displayed", then its redneck, hahahahahaha!

I also noticed the trend in large dead coral colonies is comming back in fashion. Sure hope they are getting them from our misfortunes in the aquarium industry but I highly doubt it. Just more pressure on the reefs but at least we "try" to keep them alive. Its just not a fashion statement to have a fake dead skeleton I guess. I was at the mall the other day thinking WOW I wish I had that alive in my tank!
