phyto and zooplankton cultures in 'cuse?

Wondering if any of the Syracuse crowd have cultures of phyto or any zooplankton (brine shrimp, rotifers, whatever) they'd be willing to part with, before I run off and order via the interwebs.

I'm not in Syracuse, but I'm sure I could hook you up with some nannochloropsis and Rotifers. I don't have rotifers going now, but I have the sludge from their last crash with cysts that will "wake" them up when brought to the right salinity and phyto is added.

Doing anything fun with the cultures?

Not breeding clowns or anything awesome like that. :) I just want to play with live food so I can tick that box on my reefkeeping resume. I'm toying with the idea of doing some sort of plankton "reactor" to feed my tank. At some point I'd like to have the ability to support corals that need heavy feeding, and I like the attractiveness of live food in general from a nutrient load standpoint.

I'm pretty sure my corals loved my live rotifer feedings. The gorgonian especially. Gut loaded rotifers and brine are pretty nutritious. Let me know if you can't get some cultures. I can always try to mail them priority with a heat pack or something.

I know that G from ABC Aquarium has several live cultures at one point....he is in Fairport NY not more than a hour from you.......might be worth the PM to see.

Fairport's almost 2 hours, I'm actually a bit southeast of 'cuse.

Nirvanafan, I appreciate the offer. If nothing else comes up I may take you up on that.
