PhytoFeast or DT's?

You want completely honest? I've used both, and frankly, I do not see any observable change from either compared to using neither. I'm using DTs because I got a free sample at IMAC, and it is not doing harm. Though I wonder if the green algae on the glass is growing faster because of more regular use of DTs.

But I honestly do not see any observable change in corals soft or stoney, or clams, or sandbed critters even after regular use compared to not using any for a lengthy period. The same goes for the 6wk period a while back when I was using PhytoFeast.

I can't say that I'd buy a phyto product in the future. I supposedly have animals that would benefit from phyto, but I haven't seen any harm to them when I was not using it.

Thanks Ostrow ... I know Rod uses DT's, for reasons he's already explained to me. Rod knows more now than I will ever know about this hobby, but I like to get info from as many sources as possible. Even then I like to experiment myself. I will say this ... I never added salt to a freshwater tank setup ;)

I will definitely try DT's in about 2-3 mos. Until then it's Phytofeast.

I've heard good things about Phyto2 which is also locally cultured.

Never heard of them but looks very interesting. Thanks for the link Mike.

I wonder if they will be at MACNA. IIRC reedmariculture will be there. They too seem to have nice phyto.

Cheers for Habib! Baiting Rod again! And he didn't even know he was doing it!

Whatca mean Joel? :p, I beleive that I only said that I am careful about what goes into my system, and that I prefer DTs.

WHo could've know something as simple as Phytoplankton could be so polarizing! People are so emotional when it comes to thier tank. I think aquariums are like cars, they are a reflection of ourselves, and as such our decisions for suppliments and methods are as unique as ourselves. I would say try everything and decide for yourself. It's fun that way.

Oh and you guys forgot the most important ones, Boxers or Briefs, bottom or top

See the thread about CMAS on this forum (and try to ignore the nonsense from one of the members)... note who is scheduled to speak in early October!!!

Bring the sugar, spice and everything nice!
