Phytoplex for sebae anemone

petoonia

HereWeGoAgain...
We were thinking of supplementing our tank with kent marine phytoplex, for our sebae anemone. Does this stuff really help, or am I better off skipping it. Has anyone used this and noticed a difference? Thanks in advance!

Phytoplex will do nothing for your anemone except add nutrient to the tank. If you have SPS, they may feed on phytoplankton, but not anemone.

yup, agreed w/what the other guy said ... anemones don't need the phytoplex...instead, defintely feed them meatier things like silversides, krill, or shrimp . the phtoplex will otherwise just be nutrients for your tank, which might lead to algae growth

I would personally skip the bottled phytoplankton. Like Jamie1210 said it usually ends up as a nutrient snack for algae since they are so easy to overdose. Live phyto can benefit any filter feeders and pods in your tank. that may help your anemone indirectly but I see no direct benefit to suggest its use.
