Thanks everyone. A few things I have done and learned over the last little while:
1. I lowered all my rockwork/aquascaping, and move the rockwork away from the front glass.
Previously, it took little time for the corals to grow close to the surface where they received too much direct flow, blocked flow, and could no longer grow and maintain a natural look. In additon, I moved the rock back from the front glass in many areas. While not ideal for viewing all SPS, I will be able to get my hands in the tank when the colonies grow out (this was becoming a problem previously). I did leave a little rockwork closer to the glass in one area for viewing my best/favorite SPS.
2. I bought a magnessium test kit. I never maintained my Mg until several months ago, thought my Ca reactor would keep it adequate, that in conjunction with the odd water change. Not so, at least for me (I was using regular IO salt). The increase in growth will impress you. IME, expect no changes in color, only growth.
3. Get a dwarf golden moray or two! They are cool and a great addition to your tank. They have personality, stay small and you can feed them by hand (well use foreceps)

I am pretty sure this one is not a loripes. In fact I bought a loripes not that long back (was sold to me as a loripes from the LFS), we see them often around here.
This one is very thin branching, and VERY delicate, almost breaks any time I handle it. I will work on getting another/better pic of it. It is very similar in structure to another piece I have which I have yet to post a pic of, it has a beige/cream base, blue tips and yellow polyps.

any luck on that ID? Curious to know as it will be soon time to frag this bad boy and some people really like ID's, and I try and be as acurate as possible. Will get you a better pic if required.

havent really worked on it... but some a little more "macro" will help to see coraite population, structure, etc, etc... if you could take that macro of the most "aged/mature" area that will help get closer
after all of that... i think i have a 1 in 200 chance of getting the ID right

shooting from the hip... i say loripes ... i keep going back to loripes because i've had a few and each were kinda different.
the description of this coral even includes different morphologies from tight and compact with lots of axial and radials to more tubular with less axials
a lot of corals have the ability to grow into this tubular look pending flow. mostly notably is the tenuis... common description are the amost perfect staggered coralite alignment with the edge of the coral kinda flared out a little and coralites are very numerous almost completely populating the bracnh. the axial is tubular, but covered so it doesnt have the vacant areas in the coensarc b/w coralites. If seen tenuis that grow really fast and the "axial tube" seems to outgrow the dense population of coralites making you 2nd guess its ID
and with all of that in mind... I have absolutely no credentials that say i am an acro ID-man .... just sharing my opinions based on what i've seen.
here is one of those tenuis with the axial growing a little too fast for the individual coralites. (just a theory, but does this happen when a coral is able to satisfy is needs through light energy instead of having to catch food via polyps/coralites.... dunno)

I agree, none of the species you noted, I am familiar with those myself. I will try and get another pic tonight.

Anytime, always enjoy meeting reefkeepers from out of town. By car I am about 35 minutes from the airport and about 35 minutes from downtown Toronto depending on the time of day...think Toronto has the 2nd worst traffic in North America...so anywhere from 35 minutes to 1 hour and 45 minutes...

Looking good Dave! I know these aren't SPS but I wanted to show everyone your many layers!
These are all from Dave, and quite honestly are some of the nicest I have recieved to date.
His livestock is second to none. On that note, what are the chances I could make a trip out there Dave once the new tank is running for a little SPS primer pack haahaa!
