Pic of SPS from my 275

WOW.......my eyes are burning from colour overload. Love the pics Dave.

Im looking into getting a S3 IS myself soon.

Dave, jaw-dropping beautiful! The health and the colors pictured are nothing short of awe-inspiring. I am starting to plan a family trip to Toronto, LOL.

Dave, in the second set of pics, what's the third coral (right above green Milli)? Thanks for sharing your success with us.

Dave---Looks AWESOME! Do you happen to have any sort of ID on the third coral down, second set of pics? The acro with grn tips and blue polyps? I have one and was just curious.

Thanks
Dennis

Well thank you everyone! I will comment on some of your comments:

dvanacker - As you are in Burlington, if you are serious I am considering selling my S3 IS. I bought it in January and I have a price in mind, and will ever show you a few of my tricks if you buy it ;)

argo - Well people have "popped in" from the US in the past. Should you even find yourself in TO Just let me know! That coral above the milli (blue with yellow tips, cream interior), well I think it is an austera (what I was told when I bought it). Somewhat of a slow grower with very few branches, seems to grow straight upwards and not branch.

NaH2Ofreak - think you are talking about the one below (that I described above). Slow straight grower, austera. I have it in a really good spot right under a halide.....god I hope it does not die! Sweeeet piece.

Thanks again.
Dave

now that you mention it, the coralite shape/structure is exactly like my emerald austera. Yours is just 150% more interesting, is all.

UNFREAKING REAL!! Those colors look neon! They are true to real life? Man I need to do whatever you are doing

Most say the tank looks better in person when they come over, but you know how it is, when you look at your own tank every day you are never really that impressed with it, and others are really impressed. Ok well maybe some days I am happy with it...

I calibrated my camera's white balance before I took these shots, so these pics are about as accurate as I can get. The green slimer is a little overexposed, otherwise, top town they are pretty darn close to how they look. The slimer is that green though, and hardy, it's been in the hobby longer than I have.

You can notice how the colours have darkened since my photos in May (page 6), I attribute this to adding the pair of crosshatch triggers and feeding them frozen food. My skimmer works alot harder than it did in the past. In fact, I even lost 3-4 acros/frags when I introduced the trigers, IMO due to a little bioload shock to a system which has been run very low on nutrients for about 2 years. Things have settled down now it apppears. All pictures are taken using the same camera, calibrated the same way. Nothing in the tank maintenance/husbandtry regime has changed, excluding adding the triggers. I suggest everyone get a pair of crosshatches :) Photoshop tricks include auto colour and auto contrast. However, when your white balance is set properly, the picture will not chance noticiably. Oh ya, my wife also says the pics look accurate...

Don't look for them. While I am very pleased how they drive my bulbs, I would not recommend these ballasts to anyone, ever. They do have an office/facility in the Toronton area, however, the ballasts are not reliable, I have replaced every one of mine at least once (at least the ones I bought back in 2003, maybe they are better now). I had to buy a back-up ballast because they were so unreliable. Good thing I bought them at a reputable store who gets them repaired for me no questions asked.

This tank is also an inspiration to me ... From the tank, equipment and corals one word "Amazing".... I always check this thread to see some georgeous corals and what's new to crave for... Keep up the good work and hope my tank will look like yours in 5 yrs :D

Are you saying that because you added the triggers, you feed more and that is the reason you're getting more color? How are the triggers with your acros
