Very nice setup Kasey! The tank looks deceptively larger!

Thanks Kovuu! That's the goal in mind that I try to do with all of my nanos; I try to make them appear bigger than they are. :)

Great looking setup! The colors really pop, and the Anthias rock!

Thanks Sonny! I'm very pleased with the T5's in terms of color and growth. I do love those Anthias, especially the Sunburst! :D Thanks again for the advice!

Outstanding looking nano Kasey!!! What are the tank dimensions? Any chances of some shots of your sump? Thanks!

Thanks Matt! Sorry for the delayed response. The dimensions are 24"x24"x12"h, and I'll work on getting some shots of the sump for you. :) They should be posted some time tomorrow evening!

Do you plan on adding all the sand at once or doing it in stages? I wish I was in your shoes. I am not looking forward to replacing my cc. I need an excuse when I get my new stand built. I guess I'll kill two birds with one stone, eh?

Btw, your tank is exactly what I would hope create if I ever replace my 40b. It seems like shallow cubes are so popular now. Why can't then grass be green on both sides of the (reef) fence, eh?

Well, I've had the sand sitting in a bucket of new salt water, with a heater and powerhead, for the past few days. I also added Bio-Digest and Bioptum to the bucket to help drop any nitrates and phosphates that might be present. After testing the water (assuming the N and P are within acceptable ranges), I'll probably add all of the sand, I wish to keep, at once.

Thank you for the kind words. :) It does seem like shallow cubes are becoming more and more popular. And, while I'd love to say that I haven't been influenced by the trend, I know I've probably been swayed in one way or another. :p

Grass can be green on both sides of the fence, but it's expensive. :D Thanks again!

MMOORE0324: Here's a pic of the sump. It's very simple, containing a return pump, skimmer, heater, ATO sensors, and large piece of LR. That's it. :) I'm a little ashamed of how dirty it is; I need to get the detritus out and employ a powerhead to keep it moving so the skimmer can do the work. :p

Thanks Kasey. I am getting ready to build my first nano and wanted to see some nano sumps. Lol My first reef was a 225 and it seems like my tanks are getting smaller and smaller through out the years. :lmao:

I hear that! ...as my wallet gets lighter and lighter. :p You're very welcome. :)

Sand!
Well, after deciding the black sand was good to go, I went ahead and covered the whole bottom with about 1/2". Since the lights went off shortly after, I didn't get time to take a pic. I'll have some tomorrow, though! :D

Nice! I will look forward to the pics! Sorry if this has been posted already but what is your fish list?

I actually don't think I've posted the list, so you're good. :)

1 Clown Fairy Wrasse
1 Two Spotted Hogfish
1 Lyretail Anthias
2 Sunburst Anthias

I'm hoping to add two clownfish (percula or ocellaris sp.); I'm looking at Picasso's, Snowflake's, and even Naked (I actually like their look).

A pair of Grade A Picasso's would be outstanding in your reef! I like the snowflakes as well but not as much as the Picasso's. I'm planning on doing Picasso's in my reef.

Sunburst

Sunburst

How do the sunbursts do in a small tank. Everyone is trying to talk me out of keeping them in a nano. I have a 29 bowfront. What do you feed them.
