They're great, ive been wanting a pair for so long but in the UK i cant find anywhere that sells them

nem looks a tad bleached. if it starts looking bad, i would isolate it from the clowns as it might not be ready to host.

Thanks for the kind comments on the clowns..... I feel bad because I actually wanted more white on my picasso pair :D

I'll try to get updated and more clearer pictures tomorrow.

Hey EZcompany, can you elaborate on why you think it's a tad bleached? The reason i asked is because a friend and purchased similar anemone's from two different sources, and we paid quite a bit more for the bright florescent pink coloring. Typically in a bleach anemone, one would see a lighter color than usual with spots for transparency in the tentacles. But when we examined the two we purchased, we did not see the signs indicative of a bleached anemone. Thanks in advance for your response.

IMO it does look like it is a lighter color then what it should be. Its not completely bleached obviously like EZ said, but it is a little bit, sometimes you don't see the spots for transparency, that hot pink color on a whole is a usual sign of it being bleached. I would feed it regularly, keep an eye on the clowns, they may stress it out even worse, but with apt conditions regular feedings, it should get a nice deeper color then what it is now. I personally think that hot pink on that one is not normal, and as the health increases you should see it deepen in color and lose that tad bit of transparent look.

Thanks RBTA for the clarification. I am hoping that it doesnt darken up too much as a healthy specimen because I had a few specimen that were rich dark red/maroon color i could have chosen from until i saw the seperate tank these were being held in, commanding a higher price. I agree the anemone is not the best of health (shipping and acclimation to new tank and all), but i thought it wasnt in that bad of shape as confirmed by yourself and ezcompany..... again thanks guys! I will hopefully have better pictures tomorrow when i utilize my tripod.

Basser1, like i previously mentioned, this pair was hosting Xenias for the past 7 months. Even when I introduced the anemone, they ignored it for weeks until I completely took out their colony of Xenias :D Good luck on the switch over.

Are those from ORA? How long did you have them for them to turn dark bands?

Mikigo, yes these are ORA picassos. The dark bands started to come in around after 2 months of owning them. You can see from the pictures below the dark band progression. The first picture was taken in May 2007, the second picture was from September 2007, and the last picture was taken about an hour ago. :)

Hope that helps...

The anemone is hiding today so I could not get a good shot of him/her. :(
