I had a similar problem!!!! I bought two, tank raised, maroon fish from Petco. I believe one female and one male. The female looked liked she was swimming for her life! She was always at a 45 degree angle towards the top of the water. The male? He just swam normally behind her.
However, I have a developing problem. Today I came home from work and she is laying down in some rock/sand at the bottom of the tank in what appears something she "dug out" (bed?). She is still alive. I started to clean some algae that was collecting at the back of the tank with the glass scrub/magnet and when it was near the sand she would swim over and lay down in front of it and not budge! Like a person trying to commit suicide! Should I have her admitted to the psych ward?
My friend who has about 3 years experience and I think just 1 pec clown thinks she is pregnant and in bed rest/territorial!
Has anyone had this happen to them and what was the result?
They both were introduced at the same time, about 4 days ago. The male is just cruising and...well...the female is like I said.
