i just got in my 2 picasso's from doni's reef and one of them seems to always be moving his fins non stop.... his pectoral fins are full speed all the time and the second he stops moving them, he sinks right away. does he have a swim bladder issue or am i imagining things?

thanks

good to hear. theyre awesome looking fish

She sells extremely healthy specimens, it's likely due to shipping. If he's like that in 7 days, then you might be in a little trouble. Repost how he's doing in 3 days. :)

I had a similar problem!!!! I bought two, tank raised, maroon fish from Petco. I believe one female and one male. The female looked liked she was swimming for her life! She was always at a 45 degree angle towards the top of the water. The male? He just swam normally behind her.

However, I have a developing problem. Today I came home from work and she is laying down in some rock/sand at the bottom of the tank in what appears something she "dug out" (bed?). She is still alive. I started to clean some algae that was collecting at the back of the tank with the glass scrub/magnet and when it was near the sand she would swim over and lay down in front of it and not budge! Like a person trying to commit suicide! Should I have her admitted to the psych ward?

My friend who has about 3 years experience and I think just 1 pec clown thinks she is pregnant and in bed rest/territorial!

Has anyone had this happen to them and what was the result?

They both were introduced at the same time, about 4 days ago. The male is just cruising and...well...the female is like I said.

Nothing uncommon - so far. People need to recognize when introducing fish - they are #1 stressed and #2 acclimating to their surroundings.

he doing better i guess. i guess hes just not as "graceful" as the others. it almost seems like he cant achieve neutral buoyancy. when he stops moving his fins he instantly sinks

all my other clownfish seem to "glide" through the water with relative ease. he seems to have 2 gears.... paddle vigorously to get somewhere or sink strait down

just some background info... i keep about 8 pairs of clownfish from tiny to 3 1/2 percs so i have a few to compare it to...
