Picked up a Juvi Goldflake today

I picked this 3" Goldflake up yesterday. He was a little thin and had a nip out of his dorsal fin but he eats flakes and mussels like a champ. He is in my qt with a small chrysurus (separated of course)

Love his lips, I have never had a GF before and I am very excited for my new guy to develop that colour

im hoping to fatten this guy up. have been feeding him fresh mussels in the half shell as well as vitamin enriched spirulina flakes

I got my little guy to take pellets today. It only ate 3-4 of them, but at least it's taking them.

Mine refused pellets and mysis so far, ate a little brine. I am going to give him some clam today and see if he takes that

What pellets did you feed?

I mixed nls, ocean nutrition 1and 2, so I'm not sure which exact ones it ate. I buy three small sizes and mix them in one large container

My LFS has a juvi Goldflake in for about 7 weeks now. Its had popeye and fin rot but it was treated. I might look at it a little more closely soo, but I think I'd rather get a regal or scribbled and I don't think mixing would work out in a 125g.

how is she doing?

Doing ok at this point, I say ok because it's not putting any weight on. It eats anything and everything I add to the tank now. I feed 3-4 times a day but mostly 3 times. It waits at the top now for food when I approach and is always out and about swimming around. It will stay in the small tank for at least 2 months.

I ended up getting that juvi goldflake from my LFS. Figured they did all the conditioning and QTing for me, it was alone in its own tank for 4 months with copper and prazipro. How is yours doing?

any updates?

I didn't update this thread and forgot about it. But I ended up losing the little guy, I'm not sure what exactly happened. I fed the little guy watched him eat some, left the room for 5 minutes and came back in to a dead fish. The Lfs got a few more in this week but I passed.
