will do my friend had to use my sd card

their doing good though

feeding 3 times a day

newegg has a 4gb-150X SD card for $60 shipped... no excuses! hahah

Definitely keep feeding them often during the day. I'd add some spiralina flakes and also I fed mine some red algae flakes that John at FAOIS recommended when I got mine.

markandkristen I also have about five of them. They were about the size of a nickle when I got them. I feed mine Formula two flakes and they love it. I love getting them that smal and raising them, kinda like babies...I better stop breeding myself. :D

hey mark not to be negative here but I think an over flow is a real bad place to keep any fish let alone a long range roaming tang. I am not sure what you have growing in your overflows but these fish require all day picking at this size because their metabolism is extremely high at such a young age. I would feed something much larger than the cyclop's . they really need to feast to stay healthy. I bought some the same size about 5 months ago and they are getting good size already. they do grow very fast. much faster than any other tang I have ever kept. they can easily fight off desease and parasites if given room to graze. a few people here have seen the 2 I have that were skinny and ich infested and now they are bulky and pretty clean. most seeing them including myself would have condemned them along time ago.

we wanna see some pictures :) I saw one of Rob's Hippos right after he got it. It was about the size of a quarter, pretty thin, and had ick. I couldn't believe how much they have grown and filled out in such a short time. The big ones I saw at aquarium creations had yellow bellies, I thought when they got big they just got kind of a darker blue. Do they get alot of yellow on them as they grow or did they not have the right diet?

I noticed that to in Aquarium Creations Laura, I kinda didnt like the older tang look. I never kept any of mine that long.

Not the Best but...

the yellow belly regal tangs are from africa. considered the same species but almost all from a certain area in africa are like that. it has nothing to do with their diet. they are buy far nicer at adulthood because the belly is bright yellow and the dorsal fine gets a bright red stripe down it. a well fed regal of any kind should get better looking as it ages. the blue gets deeper and should be beautiful if fed or at least given an environment where it can feed itself.
laura you should really come check those 2 tangs out in person if you and your hubby are ever in our neck of the woods you would be amazed at how thick they are. not fat belly's but there whole body is think. color is very nice also. I feed a very wide mixture of foods to make sure they get everything they might need.
don 5 regals is awesome. your making me want more. only thing is I know they will get pretty big.

i didnt see rob's tangs when i got them but have seen them recently and they are nice and fat. Made me realize how unhealthy my tang was when i got him.(trying to fatten him up)

really nice pics, they are soooo cute. Thanks for the info Rob, I was wondering about that because I've not seen any bigger than about 6-7" before today. I will hit you up next time I'm in the neighborhood, I'd love to get a look at the new tank all set up. I couldn't get a good look because the whole tank won't fit in a picture. lol, that tank is a beast.

Rob, true I cant keep them when they get over 3 inches. My tank is way too small, I'll let you know when that time comes.

Gimplar thats great, post sum pix..
