Picky Eaters

I bought two Moca clown fish this past Saturday, and I cant get them to eat anything? They are small, about an inch long, so I thought they would eat flack food like my other two do. But so far they just bite at it and spit it back out? I'm feeding Ocean Nutrition Prime Reef Flakes, pieces of ground up shrimp, and some seaweed, but they don't like any of it? What else can I try?

How long before I need to worry about them starving?

Try frozen mysis shrimp. If that doesn't work try a live food such as brine shrimp until you can teach them what to eat.

Also, are they in a QT tank away from your more aggressive fish?

My platinum clowns were the same way. I used fish eggs (frozen), and .5mm NL Spectrum pellets in addition to crushed brine flake. I also had to shut off all current to the tank while they ate.

Good luck.

The 6 clowns I bought wouldnt eat well and I didnt catch that they had parasites till one of them passed. I started treating after the fifth one started fading away and it didnt make it either but the other four eat like pigs now. I would watch their poop.
