Pico skimmer

I was looking for a gnome skimmer. Must be outdated. I might end up cutting the end off a bottle and making my own.

I asked some scientific lab company to blow one for me. I'll let you know what they say. I sent them pics of the gnome skimmer.

What size is your tank? They are wanting exact demensions and i don't know them so I'm gonna estimate for my tank which is only 7 gallons. I was thinking about 10" in overall length with about 1.5" inner diameter.

Mine is a 4g. Tank dimensions are 10" x 10" x 11". The Smaller the better so I would say about 5-6 inches long with a 1 inch diameter .

I had to explain in detail the demensions of a skimmer I've never seen so I hope it works. I think the design I described would work prefect for your tank. Let's see what they say.

I have no idea but from what I've seen on you tube it doesn't seem to difficult. I was basically going to melt the bottom, make a hole, and solder a glass tube to that hole. Then cut that tube and bend it. But, again. .. i have no idea what I'm doing.

So I bought enough material to build 5 small skimmers. Minus the air stones. Just have to wait for the stuff to come in the mail.

If they turn out okay i don't think ill sell them to make a profit. I just want to get my money back out of them. I've spent less than $100 so far with shipping. Any suggestions for the air stone? It has to be small. I found some 16" wide mouth test tubes too if anyone has a bigger tank.
