Just snapped a few pics off, I'm no good with my Canon S3IS. These photos have been run through Nero 7's auto-fix.

If you care, my tank diary is here: http://reefcentral.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1914008

Wow super clean. I like the simple scape you did. Nice tank. Interesting though, at 3 months I would expect to see a bit of coraline growth on the glass and rock.

Thanks for the kind words. I know it's not very impressive, but hopefully it will be one day. I agree with you on the coraline. It is starting to show up on the rock and a tiny bit on the glass, which I scrape religeously every week. Admittedly, my calcium and alk levels have been a touch low. I have a BM doser, but haven't started dosing anything yet. Levels are currently maintained with 26% water changes weekly.

nice simple and clean aquascape

Thanks. I like it open, it allows more room for the fish to swim. It will still look good hopefully once the corals grow in.

wow nice tank, it will be nice soon

I sure hope so :)

i think you need more flow

You mean 35,000 gallons/hr isn't enough?

What type of cycle do you have the vortechs running on?

I typically have the vortechs running on Nutrient Transport Mode, except when I am feeding or servicing the tank. I recently purchased a WXM module, but I haven't hooked it up yet.

nice regal.love those guys

The Regal Angelfish is my favorite fish in the world hands-down. Wouldn't trade it for anything.

Nice Regal... How long have you had him/her? What all does yours eat?

Hi, I've had the male Regal for about 1.5 months now. He is eating PE Mysis, Hikari mysis, Rods food, Roggers food, frozen brine, Frozen Formula One, Frozen Formula Two, and Angel Formula. The very first thing it ever ate was frozen PE Mysis, and shortly after that, Frozen Formula Two. The formula brand by Ocean Nutrition (although not very popular) is this guys favorite food. I thank it may have something to do with the gel binder used in the cubes. I see you have a Regal in your avatar, is that yours? If so, how long have you had it, and is it eating? You can tell the males from the females by the length of the spine on the lower part of the gill. If it's long, it's a male. If it's short, it's a female.

Thats a lot of fish!

It looks like a long list when it's written down, but most of the fish are very small. I'm still looking to get a pair of McKoskers Flasher Wrasses, 3 more chromis, 2 more dispar anthias, and maybe a couple more small gobies.

Awesome, yep I guess by the description of the gill she is mine. I'd say she is about 5 inches. Ive only had her since Monday as I wanted to make sure the regal was eating first at the store. She eats vhp cubes, mysis cubes and frozen mussels. Oh and she will eat out of my hand already so that really made me feel comfidient. Currently the regal is in quarantine right now to ensure no diesase.

Can you have regals in a reef tank?? Dont they nip at your corals/clams??

Some you can, and some you can't, just luck of the draw. I only have sps in the tank now, and he won't touch them. Clams or LPS may be a different story. We will see when I add some.
