no i wasn't expecting this. if i can keep them alive over night i will gladly split them with you.

Oh wow, this is so exciting and almost enough to make me want to set up a horse tank again and try breeding again! If you two try to raise them please start a thread -- I'd love to tag along and experience it vicariously for now!

P.S. But only 6 fry???? When mine had babies it was always like 75-100 at a time. Wonder if he's going to spit out some more soon

I was just reading the acclimation process posted on the Sea Life Inc. site and had a few questions..

Has anyone tested the shipping water yet? Does anyone have suggestions for me to acclimate my 2 new inverts (anem shrimp and porcelain crab)?

I checked my salinity this morning and I'm at 1.26, haven't had a chance to check other params. I don't have very much time to drive to middletown and complete the acclimation process before I have to leave again so I'm trying to decide the safest and fastest way to get them into the tank.

Thanks for your help guys!

i float bags and use a turkey baster to add a tiny bit of water every 5 minutes or so. the length of time depends on what i am acclimating . i don't think the crab would take much time but not sure on your shrimp. i would do a quick google search

Yeah I've been researching, I think I'm going to float them for like 10-15mins and then do the baster method 3 times over another 15 mins
