I think they look terribly neglected and ruin the look of your tank. You should ship them to me as soon as possible.
LOL JK.

GORGEOUS !!!!!! I love how they've picked that corner. Very nice.

Thanks for the compliments.
Unfortunately, they have not picked a corner...
they pretty much cover the whole tank after the light is on for a while. Tank is 24x24x36(h)
Funny, when i first saw rbta, they weren't spread like this.
I kinda wish they were 1/2 the size at full... like when the light is off.
Good thing is, they've lost alot of their stinging, so my fish can bump into them w/ no problems.
Most people that see the tank, think the Nems are the best part by far. :D

The lower one gets wider, close to 17-18" across.
Jeff, sometimes it seems like an anemone only tank w/ fish. ;)

I actually put a few frags in the tank in summer 07... they didn't fare well. I'm happy enough w/ just the fish, and the nems really make the tank different.

I wasn't sure what happened w/ the frags. Could have been the water quality. But if my paramaters were bad, my nems wouldn't be so good. (?)

Those are very large RBTAs. Your fish are beautiful too. With your RBTAs have you had any assexual division? How many RBTAs do you have in the tank? When mine get about a foot across, they always seem to divide. I would like for one to just keep growing to see how big it would get. I've heard of BTAs getting around 20 inches across, your largest one is pretty much there. What is your feeding regimen and lighting?

I think anemones are much hardier than frags when it comes to water quality, or so I've experienced. Do you use tap water or RO water? I found that the tap water in my city was the reason my frags failed, but didn't really have an effect on the anemones... But beautiful anemones! I love all the fish as well...

The top one split about 6 months ago. The spin-off just couldn't find a happy home w/ the other two almost covering the tank.
It got caught in a tunze twice. I eventually removed it from the tank, but couldn't get someone to take it quickly enough.
It only made it 5 days in my sump. :(

There are only 2 in the tank now. At full they are 16 & 18".
I feed the tank once a day w/ 4 cubes of frozen Hikari Mysis and Brine. Every few days i'll throw in a cube of rotifers.
Lighting is a 250w adjustable MH, turned pretty low, w/ a 7hr photoperiod. Thinking of dropping that down some, since the algae is coming back a bit.
Also in the tank:
1 purple spiny sea urchin
1 pb tang
1 hippo tang
2 clowns
3 anthias
2 neon blue gobies
1 high fin gobie
6 green chromis
2 zebra darts
1 flame angel
1 flame hawk
1 black cap basslet
1 filamented wrasse
1 yellow headed jawfish

Gig'em, i use RO water. Change the filtration on them when needed too.
I've kind of given up on a reef tank. The nems cover too much area. Maybe in a few years i'll upgrade to a bigger tank, but that's not so easy since the walls are built around this one.

Thank you for all the information. I would keep the tank just as you have it if I were you.

Ahhhhh...
I have nothing recent, but this gives you an idea... summer '07(pre-nems), and some fish have come 'n gone(:()
