I just wanted to post pics of my tank after the meeting after you guys hooked us newbies up. My tank is loaded now and I just now need to figure out where all these guys are going to sit permantly. Any advise would be great! Here is the tank shots

The guy in the center I got, but don't know what he was...Can you remind me?

I think this guy is a mushroom. He seems to be very happy. I got him at the meet as well

Here is a shot of most the frags I got along with a few pieces I got at aquatic critter

Thanks again guys for all of the frags. You guys make this hobby much more enjoyable :)

The two pronged frag in the 2nd to last picture is a blue tipped stag (it will look a lot nicer after a little while under decent lights). It got passed around the club a lot a few years ago. In my experience it is one of the easier to keep acros and grows at a pretty good rate.

EDIT: Forgot to say. Looks like you got yourself a real good start there. Is that a nano cube your running?

Awesome looking tank bro! With the live rock your nano looks a year old.
Thanks again to the club from all us newbies!! It is exciting to have some really cool frags that would have taken years to add. I felt really welcomed on Saturday! You guys rock! Can't wait to be a part of the Vanderbilt build.

Thanks guys! I wish I could get the Frog back on the right track. He looks much worse than in this pic. 3 of the pods have slimed off and just left the skeleton. It looks like a chain reaction. I have a good pair of pliers on the way from Marine Depot to clips the dead ones off in hopes it doesn't continue to kill the rest. Anyways....I bought some great looking Zoa frags to add to the tank and I will post pics of them too!

Sorry I missed your update. Yes it's the JBJ 28g nano HQI. I have a AquaC Remora Protein Skimmer and a 1/15 chiller on it.

I've had frogspawn heads randomly (at least it appeared that way) die on me a couple of times now. I did exactly what you are...separated the dying parts from the colony. Once I'd done that I've not had the healthy heads go on me, so it's worth a shot.

I don't have anything to cut through the coral yet...on order....anyother way to fix? Can I take a clean paper towl and wipe the sludge off?

Your tank is looking great. Man I cant believe I missed this event. I just found this place like yesterday. I will be in the next one to soak up all the info I can get.

you should be able to pull the frogspawn out (make the heads retract first) and break it by hand, if the heads aren't too close together. I've done it before with a hammer.
