ct-vol,
The chicken feed is about $7 for a 50lb bag. It is ground up oyster shell, about 1/4 to 1/2 inch in size. I just put it in a bucket and took a sledge hammer and ground it up finer. Kind of like a large pestle and mortar, then rinsed well. When I first got into SW I tried making some aggracrete rocks and I used this in it and that is where the idea came from as substrate. $7 for 50lbs substrate cant be beat. I can get some pics of the sump as well.
eyebedam-
My wife are planning on going to the meet. Nashville is her most favorite place to visit/party. Our anniversary was Dec 31 so it is kind of a mini vacation for both of us. She can shop during the day, I can do "fish geek" stuff and have fun at night.
We are still waiting on her work schedule but I should be there about 70% sure.
As far as what I am bringing--Zoo and ric frags! I will have pics at the meet so you can see.
vanna101, akrimmel, krzysieks, Thanks and happy reefing!
