Pics of some stomatopods from LR

These two came out of the live rock of a friend.

They're pretty neat and suuuuper teeny. Maybe slightly over an inch (max) each.

One has lost it's raptorials (is that the right word? his smashers). He brought them in together saying that they were a mated pair. I told him that it didn't matter, that he'd probably have to keep them separate. Then after he left the brownish one popped the greenish one (the one without the smasher appendages). So I immediately separated them.

Oh and here's a photo of one I saw at the LFS as well. Pretty sure it's a smasher but they told me it came in as a spearer and weren't sure what species it is. I put a snail in its tank and heard popping though...so to me that says smasher. Maybe I'm wrong.

I know this is a terrible picture for identification but does anyone have any idea what this one could be?

I am pretty sure that the pink one is a Neogonodactylus. I think its N.oerstedii but it could also be N.bredini. Need to see if it has Purple or White mearls.

Is your friend thinking about selling them? I might be interested in the pink one.

lol thurge i asked her that last night haha. she said they are just holding them for someone. but they guy that brought them in might have more in his rocks so she was going to let me know. if there is another one that shows up and she contacts me i'll forward her to you cause i know you been looking for a new little guy.

oh and mel i think that big green one is another chiragra but i need more pics to be sure.

Both are N. wennerae or N. bredini. The third is a Gonodactylus chiragra.

Aaah, thanks Mel! They are doing great so far. The one that has its smashers is doing fine, can't find the other one though. They are cool little buggers!
