First a picture of it when it just arrived... it was gaping and not very responsive..

And now a few months later it has grown quite a bit and changed color as well.

2x250W 10 000K BLV-bulbs
2x54W 20 000K AquaLight T5
AquaLight fixture

No trace elements added, just kalkwasser and lots of water changes with AquaMedic Reef salt.

No skimmer, just UV and phosphat-filter with AquaPhos.

I feed the tank daily with Phyto-feast and a few times a week with GroTech NutriMarine and GroTech VitAmino. I also feed with rotifers a few times/month.
 
No skimmer? It's about time I came across someone who breaks the mold. How often do you carry out your water changes and how much? What are your Nitrogen parameters?
 
I change about 10-20% each week. Not sure about Nitrogen. Usually it very low but I don't test that often.... i observe the animals and if everything looks right then I don't test.
 
How about 2 more pictures of a gigas??? I have the STUPIDEST fish!!! But I love these pictures.

Neither died, and the clam seems to have gotten used to it.
