dgasmd, what is the second coral in your picture? I have the same one. I've seen it referred to as a green A. millepora, but it has an orangish base so I'm unsure.

CaReefer, I have a A. pulchra as well, but it hasn't polyped out like yours. Hope it will.

You guys are posting great pictures. Please tell others to participate, as this is turning out to be a killer thread!

Great stuff. I'm very impressed :eek:

@Treg

Can you tell me what kind of montipora the blue one with the red polyps is. I never saw a monti like that.

Yep. Superman and Heart Pounding are a couple of the common names.
There are a few scientifc names also, Danae used most often, Tyree lists his as a Monasteriata, Reefermadness calls it somoething else...
Its an encrusting monti tho, all that really matters.

That photo was a frag I got about a year ago The photo was the day I got it after being shipped from the west coast! It was that colorful right out of the bag, fantastic frag. Unfortunately I lost it and everything else in a tank move last spring. I would love to have another one just like it...

Yep, just a milli. It is hot pink with green. The picture is actually pretty poor compared to the coral in real life.

Thanks for the reply.

Im really sorry about your loss. I wish i would have a couple of those beautiful corals.:D Especially Superman would be an eyeburner in my tank.

That granulosa is sick man. Love the color. I am sure you know you have red bugs right? You can see them in the second picture above. I am surprised to see you have such colors with them in your corals. Very ncie indeed.

Thanks! Yeah the little buggers have been around for awhile. The corals don't seem to mind much and I don't want to kill all my baby acro crabs +adults.I think their breeding .
