Yes, "grown in" is an understatement. After 6 years of running this tank the corals have taken over every inch of space. I built almost the whole tank from frags and rescued corals which have all grown like crazy. I started a frag tank and now that is full as well.Originally posted by gcarroll
Great pics Ken. I love the tanks that are fully grown in like yours. Nice array of colors. Don't forget to post those pics of the new skimmer when it arrives.
Thanks for the compliment. Really hard to get any pics of my sump/refugium the way it is jammed under my stand. I can tell you that it is a 50 gallon tank with 3 chambers. First section is the skimmer compartment where the overflow dumps into. Second is the refugium with a DSB and Chaeto macroalgae lit by cheap work lights, and the final section is for the return pump. I don't use socks or other filters other than a DIY carbon cannister for water polishing. My current skimmer is a home made Deltec copy with a sedra feed and aquabee recirc pump. The new skimmer (being built) is a mutant AquaC 240 being custom with some custom features inspired by gcarroll's skimmer. I'll post pictures once it arrives.Originally posted by CamBarr

It's constantly growing and ever changing, which is what I love about reef tanks.Originally posted by pookstreet
Awesome Ken. It's been a while since I have seen your tank in person. More beautiful than I remembered. Great job.
