Pike or Monroe County Reefers?

You know I always wondered why there was such a slim selection of sps, I always assumed someone always got them first.

OK,OK, so there's a couple in Monroe, but it looks like me and Critter are the Lone Reefers of Pike and Wayne counties. Do any of you remember Tropical Marine Paradise in Stroudsburg?
Not that anybody cares but part of Gouldsboro is in Wayne county, part is in Monroe county and part is in Lackawanna county. I happen to live in the Wayne county part. So there's atleast two reefers in Wayne county. I remember going to Tropical Marine Paradise and drooling before I even considered setting up a tank. Maybe that should have been a clue! Hehehe!

I have not seen 1 store more then 1 hours ride from scranton that has as good a selection as Something Fishy. I was actually thinking of going down tomorrow, but with the way the roads and traffic have been I'm going to wait another week or so. would of loved that 25% off live stock though.

Just so you know....

I just came back from Something Fishy (I've been there dozens of times since it opened where it is now and it has never looked better!), although the Pet Zone does get some good stuff and it is getting better all the time it does not compare in variety whatsoever to something fishy. His prices are very good for the most part though.

I don't know if any of you read the Pocono Record, but there was an interesting article in there abou the new marine biology prof. at ESU. One part of the article couldn't be more closely related to what most of us in this thread miss quite a bit. Tropical Marine Paradise. Jeremy Young is the guy who bought TMP from Ed & Cindy, then moved it about a mile up 5th st. and closed it up. The weird part is his wife told me they sold it to someone who was going to move it all up to Canadensis. After reading this artcile it makes me think the deal fell through, and they ended up donating a lot of stuff to ESU. If anybody wants to read it, I'm sure it's available on the website: www.poconorecord.com

supevdl, Something Fishy is pretty much the best SW LFS within a 2 hour driving radius of where we live. Here's the website: www.toofishy.com I just went there yesterday, but I try to/have to get there about once a month. So keep it in mind, and maybe we can make it a road trip next time.

Stoped into The Pet Zone on Monday (had the day off) and its not bad. I was already going to Dunmore so my Son and I took the ride to Pittston to check them out. Got some snails which I needed. Saw a clam I liked but wasn't prepared for that purchase, maybe next time.
