Pink birds nest Turned Green

Giovanni

AKA Flippa
Over the last several months my pink birds nest has turned Green. It is growing like crazy but is now mostly green. It was pink for 1.5 years before this. My parameters have not changed.

Anyone had this happen to them?

Pics or it didn't happen LOL

The first small pic is from when the tank was 6 month or so old. The second one is from today. I do not have any interim photos. It is way more green than this photo shows. My phone did not pick it up well.

Tank water volume is 330g. Sump is a 125 with about 90g of water and I do 50g changes every 2 weeks. I dose BRS two part. I do have trouble keeping the alk up. My mag runs 1400 range. It has been a slow change.

0 phos. What does inlky mean? I have 12 vegas and sps grows in the sand in my tank. It is the only one I have had any issue with.

lol ... only pink.

It may be getting too much light if it's a bird that prefers lower light, like the ponape. The branching looks very compact and uniform, just like a ponape, which is why I suggested lighting.

Ponape behaves almost exactly opposite the bird in the upper right of this pic. In lower light it is yellow/green and in higher light it's a light pink. The branching on this species is not uniform though, so I doubt this is the same as yours.

I dosed iodine once about a year ago and have not done so since. My cleaner shrimp antenna were short and I read that iodine could be the problem. After dosing once and one molt later, the shrimp looked better. About 2 months ago I started loosing cleaner shrimp and now have lost all three. I never dosed after that first time. Nothing else has turned green.

I do not have sps really but did you ever think that when it was pink it wasent supposed to be lol just my crazy thoughts. Im a zoa and paly person I recieved a small colony of what was sold to me as vivid rainbows and in my tank under my lights after 8 months they looked more like sunny ds
