so I've had this pink bta for a while now. it's been right I front of the powerhead wedged in a rock since day one. I went to feed it today and realized it's splitting, and it looks almost done. will both if them stay in that rock wedged together or will one move some where else? this is the first nem I've ever had so idk what could happen. lol

ime, most of the time one of them will move and one will stay put.

i would be cautious about the powerhead. they can get sucked in and ground up. i would recommend a cover for the ph or removing it.

enjoy and post some pics!

here are a couple of pictures. I'm not too worried about the PH, the anemone would have a pretty hard time getting to it.

I'm kind of surprised it's splitting, I feel like it's kind of small...

Is it under LEDs? Intensity may be too high. Pink anemone is a bleached/stressed rbta. Will need some system, parameters etc information

it's directly under an ai sol at 60%. I would say 10" from the bulbs.

cal 440
alk 11
mag 1450
phos 0.01

tank has been running for a year now

Just leave them alone. Splitting is fine, does not necessarily mean they're stressed. They'll move if they need more flow or light, otherwise leave them alone.

If the light is too strong it will move lower on his own. Don't mess with you light, if you do it it will start to walk. Bta will move with a very little change in light or flow. If it's bleaching more then there is defiantly something wrong or it feel stress.

that's what I thought, but being this is my first anemone I wasn't completely sure.
