Thought I'd share my mates new Fluro Pink Carpet Nem....

We are located in Melbourne Australia, and this was sold to my friend by Reeflections Aquarium, in Moorabin.
It was quite expensive lol

I have a true Mini S. Tapetum that was bleached and looked exactly the same color. It is now a nice deep red. Food and light once acclimated will tell you they color it will stay.
Either color is great.

I hope he has sand. All of my Haddonis were VERY unhappy with out 3-4 inches of sand. They are definitely a sand dwelling anemone. If he is running a BB then fill a PVC or container to allow a 3+ in sand bed.
Just my experience with the Haddoni.

Nice looking carpet, but having a sand bed is what is best for them.if no sand then put a few rocks by his base.they like to have their base covered.

this is a pic of it in the holding tank in the shop guys, just after it came in. yes the owner has sand.

I dont know much about these, maybe they bleach as soon as they are collected? This is the second pink one ive seen come in in 6 months, anyway will get the owner to post pics of it. :)

He is somewhat bleached but not completely and should do well. Very nice anemone but the owner should hope that he does not stay that color, but should turn deeper red, not unhealthy pink.

you realize that red carpet is pictured from the wild right? well good luck finding a bleached pic of it.....

besides, dont worry about your nem, although bleached, under good condition it will bounce back. make sure you acclimate it to the new lighting accordiingly, dont just blast it with intense lighting thinking it will color up, it will get more stressed.

I Have a nem, similar in color to the 1 above, but mine has more of the darker body, but it still has the red rim. I hope the red continues to spread:) Also Have A red, that bleach out slightly when it was in cipro teartment. It's color returned to it's normal deep red after about 2 weeks back in the DT.

Was looking through another TJ, and saw this.

Does someone have any pics of what they believe this nem is a bleached version of?

If all goes well, it should look similar to this one,

The stringy stuff is from me cleaning out the sump,

woah. That is awesome! Thanks for the pics guys. I will get the owner to update his TJ soon so we can have a look. The owner (r0cksteady), also has a blue one, (similar to the post above!) but he has an 8fter.

My Local LFS Reeflections had a few more carpet nems come in this week...
So i thought I'd go to the effort of sharing with you all....
