hello All,

it's been a while.

Was thinking about getting a Pink Cucumber; i know, i have a deathwish.. but before i do, what do they eat?

thanks.
and any advice from people who currently have one... is always welcomed.

...even the ones who used to have one. :eek2:

I didn't know that pink cucumbers were death wishes. I know that Sea-Apples are regarded that way. I once had a pink cucumber and it just got smaller and smaller. Then I realised that I hadn't seen it for weeks and never saw it again.

It either shrank to nothing (incredible shrinking man-like) or it died but didn't pollute the tank.... I had no massive die offs or anything like that.

I'm happy with my green cucumber from the last Clean-up crew GB we had here. He gets bigger and bigger and does a great job on my sand bed... bit of a pain at times when he turns frags of Zoos upside down.

I don't think many of us feed cucumbers like the pinks very well and they have no chance... so why buy them.

As long as its the mopping kind you should be ok, don't get the ones that have a lot of filter feeding appedages like seaapples as they can irritate all your aquarium live stock or possibly NUKE a tank.

The one I had stuck out the fan of filter-feeding appendages.. and I had no idea what to feed him... as I say not catastrophic but a waste of time unless you figure what they can actually eat.
