Pink skunk clownfish

My lfs has some pink skunk clownfish and they are hosting in carpets nems and bulb nems, I don't have nems because I've never had success with them. I was wondering since they are hosting at the store if they might host in my frog spawn or hammer instead. I know they are all different but what do you think the chances might be

They may or may not be hosted by either coral, but if they do decide to reside, then it may be to the detriment of your coral.FYI,clownfish don't host, the anemone is the host.

It is going to be a crap shoot -- each one is going to be different. All you can do is get them and see what happens, but don't count on it happening right away. ( I would say that even if you had an anemone in your tank )

But, they are great looking fish, and can be pretty vocal too.

Here is a picture of my pair (( hosted by a blue Haddoni carpet ))

What do you mean they can be vocal

If another fish comes too close to their anemone, or if I get too close to the tank and stare at them they will "bark" at me. It is hard to describe, but the closest sound I can think of is like a dog barking. Their whole body will shake when they do that. It can be pretty loud too, can hear it when I am 10 feet away from the tank and the TV is on.

It is funny, and it took me a while to figure out where the noise was coming from when they started to do it.

The female does it the most, I guess she doesn't like my ugly face right in front of the tank -- that is when she does it the most. Will come right up to the glass and "bark" at me.

I have always loved clownfish and my b/w clown just commited suicide the other week and I want other clowns and we were at the store tonight and we really love watching clowns in their nems but I have never had luck with them the pink skunks are different and now that you said that I just told me husband about it, they would be something diff.

I think they ( pink skunks ) are under rated as far as clowns go. I am really happy with my pair. I might even like them better then my Clarkii pair ( different tanks ).

Sorry about losing your B&W -- lost my male about 2 months ago, the female wanted a divorce.

I had a pair, but they didn't survive. I swear my RBTA ate them. :D That was my first choice, but I never see them here. They are pretty fish.

Thanks you are really making me think twice about these fish

How could you not love a pair of clowns that look like this. ;)
