Pink Yuma Question

There was a huge pink yuma at my LFS a week ago. It was at least 5" in diameter. I went back today and it was really in bad shape. It looks like the inside of the mushroom just fell apart. Only the outer rim is alive now, but it still has retained its color. Will this come back?

proabably not, once the mouth starts gaping they're pretty far gone, the state that one's in it's gone for sure

You could save it still..just cut it into four piece and hope it survive. It it does..you have 4 yuma.

that's what I was thinking bui. So how do I go about fragging it? Is it as simple as getting a scissor to it and cutting it? Do I need to get a part of the base also?

it was $5. I wouldn't have bought it except for there is a perfectly healthy one on the side about 1". I thought it was a great deal, considering he was asking 100 for it when it was healthy.

For $5 it worth the risk..It doesn't need to have the base but I found that if you frag it with the base, it grow back faster.
