Pinpoint ph controller w/probe programming

Hey guys, I just picked this up to go with my Geo calcium reactor 6X12 and gen-x co2 reg w/solenoid from you, and was told to set the pinpoint at 6.7. I've got it cal'ed in w/ the 4 and 7 ph solution, so what do I set the on and off at on the pinpoint? The geo reactor instructions aren't the best and this is my first reactor so I need some help. Also, what should the bubble rate be, and should it drip out of the geo reactor or just run a stream? As you can see I don't know much about this, and it's a little hard to set up with the directions. I'm just use to dosing b-ionic. Thanks!

Hi,

Set your on at 6.9/7.0 and set your off at 6.6/6.6 roughly. I am assuming you are using the ARM media, which melts at a little higher ph than most medias do.

Your bubble rate is probably going to run about 2 bubbles every second since you are using a ph controller. You want it to be a little on the high side, so that your ph controller can do the work for you.

Your drip rate then would be dependent upon the demands of your system. I would start it at 30 - 40 drops per min, and then increase or decrease from there once you starting testing regularly at first to get it dialed in.

Thanks,
Jeremy

Right now on the pinpoint I have the low set on 6.58 and the high set on 6.79. So do I need to adjust the low to 6.6 and the high at 7.0? I guess that's what I'm all confused about. I have the bubbles set like you said and the drip like that as well. I just need to know the low and high setting. BTW I am running the ARM media. Thanks again, and sorry to badger I just want to make sure I don't kill anything.

Update, I have the low set at 6.6 and the high set at 7.01. Please let me know if this is what you meant. Thank you!!!

Where you have it set now is perfect. Now all you have to do is increase or decrease your effluent depending upon the demands of your system.
