pistol shrimp and goby/ whats the longest yours have stayed hidden

So mine have been buried since yesterday, how long till they dig out and or dig out at a new location? Just wondering?

Hope they show for you before long, but you always have to remember, that if the pistol shrimp gets po,d at the goby they will bury the goby, and feed on him for several days before they show themselves again.

Not the best scenario but that does happen.

that is true ive lost 3 goby's like that and i think im experancing that agian, or i just have a goby killing pistol

I see my watchman goby daily. I have not seen my pistol in a while and suspect he has a new home in the back of the tank where I can't see him. He still rearranges the sand though.

I got a pair of these guys from Richard and they were so entertaining we got another pair for the same tank. I thought they would have eough room but the goby wars commenced. It wasn't to bad nothing physical or anythig just mouthing at each other.

One pair settled on one side of the tank and the other under the rocks on the other. Everything was going good for about 6 months and then the little goby came up missing??????

Now the bigger goby services both pistols shrimp. Such drama in a tank... LOL

WOO WHOO came home today and my yellow rose goby was sitting in his usually place waiting to be feed. I can see movement in the sand where the pistol has been. good reefer day
