Pistol shrimp: dead or alive...

Hi!
I am trying to lure/catch a very shy large tiger pistol shimp since several months in my 90gal reef tank. I want to remove it from my system because it's causing turbid water and I suspect it killed a few other inverts. I have a DSB (5"). Does anyone have a tip on how to catch it? I absolutely do not want to tear down the system to remove it. I would prefer not to kill it but at this stage I would even accept to use a trick that could damage/kill it if it's the only option...
Thanks!

Take a little plastic water bottle, 8oz. is fine. Cut the upper part of the bottle off an inch below where the neck has stopped widening. Now turn this upside down and place it in cut section. You can also glue it together if you feel it will fall apart and cut out more of the mid section if you feel it's too big. Anyway after that bury the trap in the sand where it usually feeds and place some food at the bottom of the trap. The shrimp should go in the trap and not be able to get out. This is also a good method to get pest crabs. Try to keep hermits anyway from it.
