Pistol Shrimp -- has anyone paired them?

So I counted three pistol shrimp hitchhikers (very light bodies, dark claw) that came in the rock (no mantis).

I was wondering if anybody knows what kind of species shrimp they may be...and if anybody has observed them pair up (share a den) with a shrimp goby that was added to the tank at a later date?

I wonder if the Goby would need to be a Gulf / Caribbean one for the shrimp and goby to recognise each other as "ok" ??

most of them sold are indo-pacific goby and shrimp.

just wonder if they need to be from the same region etc...
