Pistol Shrimp tunneling, rock stability above?

Yesterday I finally got my tiger pistol shrimp I've been looking for for months and it is freakin sweet. It paired up with my orange spotted goby overnight and they're busy finishing up their new home. It tunneled underneath my live rock, which I was expecting, but I had no idea how much that little gun-slinger could dig.

When I setup my tank (29g nano), I built the rock structure on the bare bottom of the tank, then added the sand for stability. I think it's ok, but should I be worried that the little diggers will undermine the stability of my live rock structure?

since you mentioned you added the rocks first, then sand. you should be fine and as long as those rocks are big enough that the pistol shrimp can not move.

Its fine.. my 4 pistols are about 2 inches and my biggest is a bit over 3" and they dig 3"+ tunnels all throughout my 120 tank..
