Those are vermetid snails, I believe there's some info closer to the beginning of this thread. Annoying but not harmful.

Have these green protrusions starting to come out of the rock. Smaller ones are very hairy and lime green.

These snails got mixed in when I was collecting my blue legged hermits in the Florida Keys. Can anyone ID them? They are abount 1/2-3/4" long. They dont seem to be interested in much else but cleaning the glass. Should I let them stay? Sorry the pics arent great.

I'll try to get better pics. Are dwarf ceriths native to the keys cuz there's millions of these guys there. And should I take them out of the tank?

Ive only had my tank running for a couple weeks now, have been able to identify everything except for these three things... any ideas?

danderso, I think they are. I know that reefcleaners.org operates out of Florida and they always carry them.

Cool hitchhiker, Kitsune!

Ryan, can you get pics using more light so they're more clear? I can't tell what the first 2 are. The 3rd one I guess you're talking about the maroon spot? If it comes off easily, I'd say cyano, if it has to be scraped to come off, I'd say corraline.

@SushiGirl:

Isnt s/he cute? I'm already in love with him/her, and I just noticed something else that hitched a ride on that bit of rock, it looks like mini brittle starts, Ill post some photos of them once I get some. Im about to go use some aiptasia-x

Thanks for the last quick id which after some more research in the right direction was correct so here is one more please 1/4 long or so pinkish with a flat white tube?? in the center lots of little strands with white tips on the end. Apistasia??

That's a ball anemone. Some people say they're not pests & don't reproduce quickly, but they're reproducing pretty quickly in my tank and irritating/stinging several of my zoas.

Sushi, would you have any idea what is making those tubes out of sand on my rock? I have found similar looking "tunnels"/ tubes just under the surface of my sand bed. Just curious as to what makes them.

Collonista snails, they're fine. I tried to get in this thread earlier & couldn't, but you can let them out of the cup now! LOL
