Feather dusters are harmless filter feeders.

I just wanted to make sure they actually were what they looked like they were though. It's so overwhelming learning all this stuff. I haven't read this whole post/thread, but a big portion of it. It's amazing how much is out there, and that's before you get to fish and corals!
 
This is my first salt water tank. It been up and running for four days now. I was looking at it and seen this clear bug crawling around I blinked and it was gone. I do have 100lbs if live rock so I'm sure it came from there. I got a quick picture but it's not the best. Can you tell me if I need to find a way to kill this thing.

So this is my first tank. Been up and running for four days now. Added 100lbs 4 days ago also. While looking In it I seen the clear roach looking bug on a rock I grabbed the phone snapped a pic. Then it was gone. the pic is not the best but can you tell me if I need to find this thing and kill it?

Hi I need some help. Does Myrionema amboinense look a bunch of small brown feather dusters? I have touched them to see if they sting and didn't feel anything. When I did touch them they all retracted back into their tubes. I would post a picture but not sure how to do it on here being that it wants a URL.
