Pix & ID: Critters that come in your rocks: the good and the bad.

Im still am not sure what this guy is. Here is a better video.

It's a long "hairy" worm. You can see it laying horizontally on rock inside cave.

Don't bump in threads where you ask other people to work for you (looking up stuff). ;)

Could be a worm in the genus Syllis (subfamily Syllinae) - but hard to say from the video.

Cheers, Alex

LOL... "ask other people to work for you"?

I thought that was the point of these forums; exchanging information.

My apologies for offending.

The first pic indeed shows feather duster worms and the second limpets.

Any guesses? Love this place. Found it under one of my rocks as I was getting all my fish out to quarantine for ich. Was partially opened and had its foot out for a bit. It is the shell under the nassarius and to the right of the mushroom.

Thanks cloak-good info. I also found another critter which I believe is a bivalve that has funky points or serrations on its shell. My wife snapped pics of it-will post soon.

Please please can someone offer me a ID on these little things fast... Appeared on a mushroom coral frag I bought a couple of days ago.

Mushroom is about an inch by inch and a half. Little things on it seems to be around 3mm. Moving slowly. Brown ish with a white vertical stripe and other white bits too.
