Pix & ID: Critters that come in your rocks: the good and the bad.

Both nuisance anems^

Mojano/Ball anem i think.

Haven't grown toadstool but browning out usually means nitrate too high

Yeah, I know the nitrates are high. Waiting for the di to arrive tomorrow so I can complete my ro/di setup and do some large water changes. Sadly, water primer does nothing to the nitrate levels in our water. Thanks for the anem ID!

The first two are aiptasia and ball anemones.

Leathers are slow to show any change, good or bad. Your's doesn't look too good. There is an issue some leathers develop a rot that hollows them from the inside out. If that's the only leather you have, I be trying to get a frag or 2 started. I'd also consider removing it so it can be inspected more closely.

I have 3 other leather frags in the tank. Looks even worse today. Perhaps I just put it out of its misery?

Bristle worm. They are ugly but they are detritivores and good for your tank. Some people dont like them.... a red variety known as a fire bristle worm (or something like that) is actually bad but the rest are fine.
