Yep. Florida cerith snail eggs. I don't think they mind where you embed your pics from, but I could be wrong LOL. I embed mine from Flickr. A direct link might be another story if you're linking another board like this one or you're a retailer of some kind.

Aiptasia. Is that blue cloves or daisy polyps? I want blue cloves sooo bad for my tank. I'll have to llok at the pic again not on my phone for better detail on the coral!

Edit: Your coral is blue clove/snowflake polyps. Nice piece, too! Small frag here goes for $40, and that's from other local reefers. I haven't even seen it in any of the many stores here.

was told blue daisy's. LFS was having a 15% off sale yesterday so I picked up this and a symposium frag. What would you recommend getting to eliminate this, aiptasia x or peppermint shrimp? Would the peppermint shrimp get along with the two cleaner shrimp I have in the tank?

Definitely blue clove/snowflake. Some people also call them daisy corals, but this is the true daisy coral. Click on the pic, then zoom in so you can see the detail. I had a few of these pop up in my old tank a long time ago. Real hard to find info on, not real common for sale.

As for the aiptasia, you can go either way. The shrimp will get along with your others, but is hit or miss on eating it & hit or miss that it won't eat other stuff or steal food from corals.

OK went to my LFS yesterday and got some more LR.

I think I am done with getting any LR... I was cleaning and getting some demertrus out and cleaning the side of the glass real well. I stopped for a minute and looked how things were laying out.

I saw that in the sand right where I was going to clean next...

What is it?

Sorry for the quality.. I had to zoom/hold the camera real close. I have FINE sand and yes those are the grains. The pink shell/fragment is about 1/8"

Ideas??

Are you asking about the little worms in the sand? They're little worms LOL.
I've not ever seen anyone really ID them beyond "worms" but they're harmless.

hahaha... I have not been called little worm since I joined the firehouse, many years ago. I'm 41 now... hahaha.. (That is my nick name "worm") :)

I was just curious... They have not moved or anything. I will look again when I get home. Didn't know if they were aptasia or maybe even some feathers.

I did not disturb them, I'll keep an eye one them and see.

LOL, I didn't even catch that at all! There's some kind of little worms that make tunnels in the sand, usually you just see the tunnels against the glass. Thanks for reminding me that there's something I never managed to ID properly in 10 years! ;)

Been seeing a few of these things for a few weeks. I have mexican turbo snails and zebra snails.

Steve that is a Stomatella. Good guy, a kind of snail.

Sushigirl, is there something special about blue clove polyps? I have some that I got for free. They were attached to a rock covered in aiptasia so I was given them for free. Got my old pep shrimp to take care of the aiptasia and left with the free blue cloves. Started with about 5 little polyps, now about 20 or so. Do you like them just for personal reasons like they are pretty? Or are they hard to get or something?

Oh and Sushi you mentioned a pink stomatella you had. I found a small one I had not seen before in my tank. It's shell is baby pink with tiny green stripes. Is that like yours? I wish you could buy them like regular livestock, I like them more than any other snail.

Stomatella snail. Lots of them in this thread.

Kimberly, I just like them & don't see them much here except at an overpriced LFS. Someone had some frags a while back that they wanted $40 for.

My pink stomie didn't have any green on it that I could see. I did get a shot of the "silver" one.

And here's one of the orange ones.

The guy I bought this tank from said it was some type of algae, but after further investigation, I'm not so sure...and they are EVERYWHERE!

Wow, those are actually pretty cool. If I had a non-reef tank I wouln't mind those!

Sushie those are great Stoms! Love the shiny-ness :) How many do you think you have? (ballpark). Do they breed for you?
