Pizza Night April 18th! Mama's Pride's Pat Liston Live!

Man, I just have to go to this. I heard Mama's Pride at the old Collinsville Park Ballroom (giving away my age now) in the EARLY 70's. They had 10 cent draft beers back then on Thursdays. I just saw Mama's Pride again in January this year at the PAGENT in STL. It was their Birthday Bash and celebration for getting inducted into the ST. Louis Rock N Roll Hall of Fame. They sounded as good as ever. Pat still has a good set of pipes on him after all these years. Hope to finally meet some of you all.

The Pride has been a part of my music collection since I was a teen. I was at the Collinsville Ball Room also. Always a great show.
They are one of those groups that should have made it big time but destiny had a different plans for there lives, when the plane carrying Ronnie Van Zant (Lynyrd Skynyrd) went down so did there dreams of stardom. He was about to back them.

Pat does still have a great voice and is still writing good music at the age of 63 and is about to release his 3rd solo CD.

So is this gonna be a fuddy dud party, lol. Who is coming?

The wife and I will be there for sure. So yea it might just be.:D

This is going to be another first for the club. Not to many host willing to provide LIVE music at PN.

There will be a couple of Famous people there also.:inlove:

Bummer, would have been good to see Susan! Looks to be a lot of fun:beer:

sitter schmitter! we will hopefully be there with our now 7 week old for some of the night. maybe not the loud music.

E.L. Flanagan's is a family friendly place. The dining room is separate from the bar and entertainment area. Pat Liston does an acoustic gig so the music will not be real loud. However if you want to get away from the noise with the baby you can sit in the dining room and still hear the music. Hope to see everybody Thursday since I can't hardly ever get away from here to go to other Pizza Nights.
See you Thursday,
Steve

I'm finally able to make it to one of these. I'll be the one wandering around with a membership form in my hand. Looking forward to meeting some more of you all. I assume cash is an acceptable form of payment. See you Thursday.

Mike

I went to Aquatic Treasures today to get some stuff needed to do a cleanup on my tanks before everyone sees them Thursday. Velko is looking forward to everyone coming by Aquatic Treasures and is getting a big shipment in tomorrow so there will be lots to see. He told me that he will have some giveaways including some Gift Certificates for those that attend. His 600 gallon display is looking real nice.
